Lauren first started utilizing her counseling skills via her psychology peer counseling class during her undergraduate experience in 2003. Her passion for counseling others blossomed from her success counseling college students. She received her B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Lauren has served for years with individuals and families struggling with drug and alcohol addiction both in residential and intensive out patient rehabilitation centers.

For three years, Lauren served as a school counselor at Denver Academy. She counseled children grades 2-12 with learning differences as well as their families. Lauren also creatively assisted teachers at Denver Academy in their efforts to motivate challenging students.

Besides her professional credentials, Lauren continues her education regarding addiction programs and counseling work. The Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential is the highest level of accreditation an addictions counselor can achieve. The LAC is a higher level of education than certified addiction counselor level I,II, and III.
